Shraddheya Dr Pranav Ji Pandya’s guidance on worldwide Collective Yagya

https://youtu.be/2hF47e91ARA

Our beloved parijan brothers and sisters and associates

I am speaking from Shantikunj.

A very significant campaign is going to start soon which is known as “grihe grihe Gayatri Yagya, grihe grihe Gayatri Upasanana” i.e. promoting Yagya and Gayatri worship in every household. We have given this title to the current year with an aim to observe its celebration throughout the year. The day of 2 June is Param Pujya Gurudev Acharya Shriram Sharma’s anniversary. On 2 June 1990, Gurudev cast off his physical body, which he had announced well in advance saying that that he would end his physical existence on Gayatri Jayanti, 2 June 1990. Both these occasions falling on the day of 2 June 1990, it is very important day for all of us. What kind of devoted tributes all of us can offer together at the same time? What we all can do together? We have decided a goal that we will observe yagya in 240,000 households at the same time.

Yagya can be one-kundiya (involving only one yagya altar). It doesn’t have to be on a big scale. You can do it at your home. You don’t need to get a priest to conduct it. You can act as a priest. We have made yagya rituals available on mobile phones. You will get all information you may need. We will continue the campaign of “grihe grihe Gayatri Yagya, grihe grihe Gayatri Upasana” until 2026 with an aim to deliver it to about 10 million households. In 2026, we will again repeat the programme of simultaneous yagya but then it will be in 100 million households. Collective efforts produce immense spiritual merits and positive outcomes. Doing it simultaneously would mean that you have given ahutis (offerings) all over the earth. We can do yagya all alone. There is no problem at all with that. Many people do so at their home. However, the yagya we are referring to is neither too big nor too small. It will give fulfilment to your Gayatri worship.

We offer our ahuti through yagya to entire universe. Bhagwan says, ”ayaṁ yagyo viśvasya bhuvanasya nābhiḥ”  i.e. Bhagwan acts as the pivot of the entire universe in the form of yagya. Yagya is the nucleus of the universe. You are giving your ahuti to the nucleus of the universe from where it will spread out throughout the universe. Therefore, we are going to disseminate Gayatri yagya and Gayatri Upasana to 10 million new households and are requesting your ahuti (contribution) to enable it.

It is Sunday on 2 June 2019 and the time should be 9am to 11am. Yagya will take place simultaneously in India and in the whole world. In India, we will keep within the same time cycle. It doesn’t matter if it takes place at different times due to different time zones in the other parts of the world, for example, the US, Canada, South Africa and so on. It will create a sort of rhythm in the whole world. Other associated goal is to further increase the readership of Akhand Jyoti and its allied periodicals by 2.5 million. We author Akhand Jyoti but its entire inspiration comes from Pujya Gurudev. It is published in various languages like Hindi, English. At the moment 2.5 million copies are being printed. In addition, there are electronic editions as well. What you should do? You should make as many people as possible to subscribe to it. This is a massive yagya campaign—a Brahmastra Yagya Anushsthan. It is an endeavour aimed to do good to humanity. Simultaneous yagyas done by many has an immense importance. You may be aware but let me tell you. When Bhagwan Ram was engaged in war against Ravan, Bharat made all people of Ayodhya to perform yagya simultaneously. Its combined energy joined Bhagwan Ram’s endeavour. It is an immense thing to join hands with an incarnation. Bhagwan Ram could have easily accomplished the task all alone but He wished everyone to be part of it. All Ayodhya citizens, the citizens of India joined in the effort. Many Rishis also offered their ahuti when the battle had reached the climax.

You need to do one more thing and that is to train a Purohit, the person who conducts the yagya. You can train yourself to be a Purohit. We have made an app of yagya ritual training. It is available to everyone online. The programme is totally free. You can get all the items from your local Shaktipeeth or from other places. You can also get them from Shantikunj as there is ample time left before 2 June.

The programme is aimed at doing good to and to seek happiness for entire humanity. Therefore, try to involve as many people as possible. It doesn’t matter if you have only one yagya kund (altar). You can have 5-6 cycles of ahutis to let other people have a turn. You can do it at your home, in the front yard or in the garden. Don’t worry if you don’t have a kund. You can use bricks to make a yagya altar. You don’t need any training for conducting yagya. You don’t even need to be an expert. It is simple and straighforward. Our parijans have witnessed so many 108-altar or 24-altar yagyas; or Ashwamedha yagya with 1250 or 1008 altars; or even bigger yagyas involving 1508 altar at Purnahuti and at Anwalkheda. You are already expert in them. Yagyas will nullify the prevailing atmosphere of war and terrorism. India is going through colossal election process at the moment, the festival of democracy which is about to end on 23 May when we will see the results. We are doing the programme of simultaneous yagyas immediately afterwards. Election has witnessed poisoned atmosphere, filthy language has been uttered which will also get nullified by yagya. Darkness will go away. Unity, equality, cordiality and, personal purity and integrity will increase.

Gurudev has said that the forthcoming era will be brimming with Gayatri and Yagya. I keep remembering one of the articles Pujya Gurudev authored in September 1981. I had just moved to Shantikunj in 1978. I have read that article so many times that I have memorised it. The title of the article is “sāre vātāvaraṇa ko gāyatrīmaya banānā hogā” (we will have to make the atmosphere brimming with Gayatri). That is the only solution to rectify the venomously charged subtle atmosphere we have these days. There is one kind of vātāvaraṇa (vāta+āvaraṇa) which is the surrounding environment. There is another entity, the vicāra manḍala, surrounding thinking, ābhā manḍala, surrounding vibes which have widespread effect. Both these will become refined. In addition, everyone will be blessed with divine favours.

It is not possible that yagya cannot give beneficial effects. Yagya certainly gives rewards. Tantrik yagya also gives results. However, those results are bestowed to eligible person only. You are worshipping  Gayatri. You are the person of sadhak calibre, an able spiritual observer.

Divine favours will bring in new era. You, the members of Gayatri Pariwar are running various noble activities of welfare. We are cleansing Ganga and other rivers. We are cleansing other water sources. It is Ganga Saptami today. We are running the campaign of cleaning Ganga everywhere in Haridwar. We have told everyone that they should work towards achieving clean atmosphere and clean water. They should cleanse surrounding water sources like streams, rivulets and so on. The faith of people who have joined us in large number has become a very important element of our mega movement. Divine favour, public support, and efforts made by noble people are the main factors behind the success of our campaign.

Gayatri and Yagya are known as the mother and the father of Indian Culture. Gayatri is the mother and Yagya is the father. Yagya teaches us to make personal sacrifices. Bhagwan says in Geeta that those people who are not doing yagya are actually eating like a thief. Yagya needs to be done daily. You can do a Balivaishva Yagya. Put some tiny portions of food you have cooked into fire. Start with Balivaishva Yagya and then progress to a one-kundi yagya, 24-kundiya yagya, other types of yagya, Dipa yagya and so on. I have already said about ”ayaṁ yagyo viśvasya bhuvanasya nābhiḥ”. “Yagya kalyāṇa hetuḥ” i.e. yagya is for the welfare of humanity. “yagyo’yaṁ sarvakāmadhuk” i.e. Yagya fulfils all our desires. If you have conflict in your family; don’t have good relations; your children don’t listen to you; the husband and the wife are having arguments; the couple having quarrels with their parents; the best way to rectify the atmosphere is to perform yagya. Yagya cleanses subtle atmosphere, rectifies thinking, All veda aphorisms are telling us about glory of yagya.

It will give you immense bliss when performing yagya and also help you to tell others about yagya if you get to know the benefits of yagya. Yagya fulfils our desires. Yagya has been called śreṣṭhatama karma, i.e. the best deed. “yagya vai śreṣṭhatama karma”.  When we offer any physical thing in yagya, it gets transformed into a subtle form and spreads throughout the environment. Padartha Yagya (offering physical things to yagya) is also something very great. Yagya cleanses environment. We are running Yagyopathy campaign which is participated by 4,00,000 people nationwide and are evaluating it scientifically to see whether we can cure individuals using Yagya Therapy, cleanse the environment, improve the atmosphere, eradicate the negativity prevailing in the atmosphere. The smoke of yagya provides fragrance and nourishment to environment. Yagya kills pathogens in the environment. Yagya is the oldest therapy. If you study works of Charak, Sushrut and others, you will find them advocating performance of yagya using herbals. Herbals become transformed into subtle form and spread throughout the atmosphere and produce beneficial effect of eradicating pathogens in every nook and corner of our house. You can spray insecticides (but they will have local effect only). However, the smoke of yagya is the greatest insecticide. Yagya is the oldest therapy. Yagya nourishes five tanmatra (primordial elements) and other subtle elements permeating throughout the universe. We can offer food to Devtas through yagya.  Everywhere whether it is Jagganathpuri, Badrinathpuri or Dwarkadhish teerth, food is offered to deity through yagya. In Kedarnath too, yagya is performed by the main priest and then food is offered and distributed to everyone as Prasad.

Yagya’s fire amplifies the power of mantra many times. You know that yagya is performed every day in Shantikunj. Every visitor longs for taking part in morning yagya. Yagya creates favourable vibes in the locality. Yagya brings good organization and good values in the house. It creates good and amazing atmosphere. You will see for yourself such transformation taking place when you start doing yagya regularly. Yagya is the best teacher who teaches us sacrifice, charity, cooperation, respect and so on. We are respecting cultural values through yagya. Yagya is the pivot of the entire universe. Yagya is the basis of all religious activities. All sacraments are done through yagya.  When a baby is born, you should perform a small yagya. There is no issue of sutak (impurity). You can have naming ceremony at the same day. Annaprashan, vidyarambha, shikha-stapan, yagyopaveeta, and other sacraments are all done with yagya. Yagya can cure disease; improve health; and impart name, fame, wealth, and other divine accomplishments. Yagya is a proven and complete science. You will see it yourself when you do it. There is no science that excels yagya. Yugrishi liberated yagya that had so far become restricted to a few people of class and ranks only and made it easily accessible to all. There was a time when thousands and crores rupees where charged for conducting a yagya. But now, through Gayatri Pariwar, yagya has become easily accessible to the masses, in India and all over the world. Countless people took part in Yagya overseas, for example,  Sydney, Oakland, Los Angeles, New Jersey, Chicago in US; in England, and so on. Many of them said that they never imagined to take part in yagya. There are people who recite katha. However, the yagya process we are pursuing is so amazing that we can easily attract the masses to take part in yagya. Yagya is the best medium of educating the masses. We can impart message to the masses gathered at yagya. The best thing we are doing through yagya is giving education of Indian Culture. You put on dhoti-kurta. If you have problem sitting on the floor, you can sit on a chair. However, we should try our best to sit on the floor and be dressed in Indian attire. Women should wear sarees. Try not to take part in yagya wearing modern attire. We should try our best.

Yagya started off the process of Creation. Ram, Lakshman, Bharat, Shatrughna were all born as a result of yagya. Draupadi, Pradhyumna and our colossal Gayatri Pariwar too were born through Yagya. Param Pujya Gurudev revived the practice of yagya.

This campaign is not a formality or to boost up numbers. It is done with a special aim in mind. It is Brahmastra Anushthan—an enormous undertaking. Yagya has three phases—Yaj, Prayaj and Anuyaj. You are listening to me today. Prayaj has started off from today. You should begin its preparations. You should increase the number of Gayatri mantra you are chanting. Spread the words among people. Get Akhand Jyoti magazine. Get the things needed for yagya. They are very inexpensive.

The second phase is Yaj. The yagya you would do on 2 June.

Anuyaj, the follow up activities from 2 June to Vandaniya Mata Ji’s Centenary celebrations in 2026. We will guide you about it. The whole nation will be transformed into a huge yagya shala through this yagya campaign. You will see for yourself the bliss it would give. You would feel that the whole nation is experiencing the transformation of subtle atmosphere, the atmosphere of thought and feeling. We sing song, “he prabhu, jīvana hamārā, yagyamaya kara dījiye”  It has a line, “yagya-kuṇḍo se saje ho ye, sabhī bhūkhaṇḍa sundara” i.e. all continents become embellished with yagya. You should fulfil our dream on 2 June. The next line of the song  “sangaṭhana kī agnijvālā, ho prakaṭa jinameṁ prakhara hara” reflects that our organization will develop further through this yagya. The day of 2 June is just a beginning. It will keep expanding and the day will come when the entire world will embrace yagya. Our Pro-chancellor conducted many yagyas in Latvia, Lithuvania, and Estonia. These three countries were part of Russia before, but now they are independent. University chancellors, officers, the President, the Prime Minister, and others attended the yagya. It doesn’t matter they were attired in shirt and trousers but they sat down on floor and took part in yagya. In this way, we will conduct yagya everywhere in the country and overseas.

From 2 June, you should do yagya on every Sunday. If it is not possible, you can do it on alternate Sundays. Start training volunteers and those who would conduct yagya. They should get trained to conduct yagya rituals. Yagya rituals are short and simple. You could quickly memorise the mantras. Once you have memorised the mantras, Sanskrit too will become easy for you. Once you learn Sanskrit and Yagya, you will experience yourself that your language is getting cultured and your sanskars (life values, thinking, outlook, action, inner feelings) are getting better. Everyone will start experiencing bliss once every household start practising Gayatri Upasana and Yagya. You have to contribute to the efforts of transforming the atmosphere.

You have to pay attention to various other aspects. You should spread the principles of Gayatri Mahavidya to every household. Yagya is complimentary to Gayatri. Have Dev-sthapna done at the house (installation of the photo of Gayatri, Pujya Gurudev and Vandaniya Mata Ji and practising routines it demands) and do regular Upasana (mantra chanting and meditation). You should read and make others read Akhand Jyoti and associated periodicals. Install Gyan Ghatt (donation box aimed at spreading knowledge) at every household so that people can contribute to yagya. It doesn’t matter whether it is 10p, 25p or a rupee. Set up a family library of Gurudev’s literature. Gurudev has said, “I am not an individual. I am a thought.” Gurudev’s thoughts should be installed in form of his books in every household. Make aware and inspire people about Sanskars (sacraments) and make arrangement to accomplish them. Many sanskars can be accomplished at home.

You should join up new people to a Shakti-peeth, local organization and Shantikunj. You will have to train and prepare gyan-doot (messengers) to promote Akhand Jyoti and other related periodicals. Establish a system of training the new followers. Find old and new people. Bring back those who had taken diksha (undergone initiation) but have become dormant. Public relations are very important. Prepare volunteers who can contribute their time and make arrangement to train them. Listen to my recording again so that you will come to know what you have to do.

You should engage in active public relations exercise which is the mainstay of Mission’s programme.  You should strengthen it as much as you can. You should make people fill up the form of Dev Pariwar membership. It shouldn’t be difficult as they will become the member of a big family of thousands and millions. Gayatri Teerth Shantikunj will keep giving full cooperation and support. We are with you all the time. We will continuously keep imparting cooperation and guidance. Gayatri Jayanti is on 12 June as per Indian Calendar. You will keep getting up to date guidance about Gayatri Jayanti, Gurupurnima and other festivals every year. Visit “grihe grihe Gayatri Yagya, grihe grihe Gayatri Upasanana” page on our websites —www.awgp.org and www.diya.net.in —and listen to yagya ritual guidance. It contains videos, an abridged Gayatri Upasana guidance, Balivaishva Yagya information, a folder having information about Shantikunj, a folder having abridged karmakand (rituals), and registration facilities. You can register online. If you are not comfortable with it, you can ask your children. They are used to operating computer. They will help you. On YouTube, we have training video called Mobile Pandit. Visit Youtube and search for “mobile pandit”. It will give you everything you need for training. There is a miss call number on this page. If you make the yagya host dial on this number, we will get their number and they will officially get registered.

Again we request you not to consider this as just a one-day programme. Consider it a powerful worldwide campaign. You should take part in this immense undertaking to carry on up to Param Vandaniya Mata Ji’s centenary and Akhand Jyoti Centenary in 2026. We want to make India, a Jagat-Guru, the Global Spiritual Teacher. To make this happen, to make India capable again to lead the world, we have set off with a declaration of “twenty-first century, bright future”. You have to join your efforts. You have to play an important role. The best ritual in our Sanskriti (Indian Culture) is Yagya. It’s starting off from your house. If you are listening this, you should think that it has begun at your house. Gayatri Pariwar has come to your house. The atmosphere created by naman, vandan (respectful greetings), swadhyaya (reading good thoughts), satsang (listening to good thoughts), will make people feel that it has really made a positive impact. Your married life will become blissful. Your children will become cultured. Your family will experience heavenly atmosphere. Children will speak cultured language. Social media has played havoc these days. It must change. You will have the bliss of cultured family, progressive society and blessed with being part of building of society and the Nation.

You need to take time out from your busy life. This is our expectation from you. You come to Yug Teertha Shantikunj—situated in the laps of Ganga,  at the foothills of Himalaya and where Rishi Vishvamitra performed tapa sadhana. Please give us its advance notice so that we can make all arrangement for accommodation and so on. Best wishes.

Please get involved “grihe grihe Gayatri Yagya, grihe grihe Gayatri Upasanana” and earn spiritual merits. Best wishes.
